A gymnast??

Today I caught Farhan playing with a ribbon which he tied to a stick and he was going round and round, in attempt to make the ribbon swirl. He got up pretty early today considering it's Friday and it's a weekend here. And he was playing alone with that ribbon outside the house. He said he saw it on tv, some gymnasts were doing ribbon gymnastics and he wants to be just like that! Hmmm, ookaayyy but...isn't it a bit girlish to play with ribbons?

From Guppies to Tadpoles

The boys are having their school break for 2 weeks starting last Friday. Since I'm not able to take any leaves to take them for holidays, mom decided to enroll them in swimming classes instead. That should keep them busy for at least half a day everyday apart from the usual routine of studying and doing homework and watching tv and napping. So, some photos of them, taken during their 1st lesson.

Artists at work!

I was thinking of what to put up on the wall at the new house we're moving into soon, and I figured the kids could come up with something. So, here's what they did last weekend.

Emir's drawings are always similar, endless streets with houses with lots of arrows. Probably we're gonna have a town planner? He's really into maps. I helped him with the coloring a bit because he doesn't like coloring that much.

This is Farhan's. Always Ultraman, and nothing else. He wants everything to be Ultraman, his pencil case, his school bag, his clothes, even his underwears! He's totally crazy about this Japanese superhero.

And finally, Ezzat's. Can you spot Thomas the Train in there? Or is it Percy?

A 5 yr old boy with A Pacifier??!!

Ezzat has been very cheeky lately. He used to be an extremely quiet boy. This morning, he went through granny's drawer and found his old pacifier. He never likes it when he was little and yet, look! Such a big baby! Oh he loves to tuck in his shirt now and spend hours in front of the mirror fixing his hair.

Happy Mother's Day..

So here's the thing, I've been trying to come up with reasons why I didn't update this blog as I was all hyped before, but I guess all I can say is that I wasn't really in the mood. And tension is building up at work as tax submission is getting nearer, June actually! And I am not even close in completing the company's accounts. And since its inception in 2004, no proper accounts were done, and I wish I knew about this before I accepted the job! . Annddd my assistant took off from work for a month starting today. The good thing is she's getting married, so Congratulations Ina! The not so good part is I'm all alone with piles of back dated documents to be sorted out. And guess what, no computerized system, they use EXCEL! Arrghh...no one does bookkeeping using Excel anymore for godsake. I so really hate accounting! And I have been melancholic and still am as D-day has came yesterday for me to part with my other half for a few months due to his work. Soooo...I know these are all excuses, but at this moment, I'm just feeling a bit grouchy. By the way, Happy Mother's Day!
